On April 14, Eric Geurts will release his solo debut CD 'Leave A Mark'. As one of the songs included in the CD but also released as a single, 'When the Love is Gone' makes for a tasty appetizer for what’s to come.
'When The Love Is Gone' molds rock and blues into a crunching, bite-sized pop song. With an easy-to-sing chorus and the unmistakable guitar influences of both Z.Z. Top and Dire Straits the song is a typical real-life love story. It tells the story of a broken relationship, infidelity and deceit, but ends with a humorous wink.
The chorus is a catchy sing-along but the words will immediately be familiar to anyone who has ever been confronted with adultery or infidelity in their own relationship.
Is there a way back after betrayal? Does the love seep away like water in a cracked jug? Can it ever be okay again? For some the answer may be yes, for others no way! And for others still, could they be persuaded to love again?
The song will be released on April 1, 2021 (Flying Snowman Records).

Le 14 avril, Eric Geurts sortira son premier CD en solo. Le single 'When The Love Is Gone' est déjà un bon apéritif.
'When The Love Is Gone' moule le rock et le blues en une chanson pop croustillante, avec un refrain facile à chanter et des influences de guitare indubitables provenant de Z.Z. Top et Dire Straits.
La chanson est une histoire d'amour typique de la vie réelle, qui parle d'une relation brisée, d'infidélité et de tromperie, mais qui se termine par un clin d'œil humoristique.
Le refrain est une chanson accrocheuse, immédiatement reconnaissable pour quiconque a déjà été confronté à l'adultère ou à l'infidélité.
Y a-t-il un moyen de revenir en arrière après une trahison ? Quand l'amour s'écoule comme une cruche fêlée ? Est-ce que ça ira mieux un jour ? Pour certains, oui, pour d'autres, pas du tout ! Et certains peuvent encore être persuadés ?
La chanson sortira le 1er avril 2021 (Flying Snowman Records.).

‘When The Love Is Gone’ kneedt rock en blues tot een knapperige hapklare popsong met een makkelijk meezingbaar refrein en onmiskenbare gitaarinvloeden van zowel Z.Z. Top als Dire Straits.
De song is een typisch uit het leven gegrepen liefdesverhaal over een gebroken relatie, ontrouw en bedrog maar eindigt met een humoristische knipoog.
Het refrein is een aanstekelijke meebruller, direct herkenbaar voor elkeen die ooit werd geconfonteerd met overspel of ontrouw.
Is er een weg terug na verraad? Wanneer de liefde wegsijpelt als uit een gebarsten kruik? Komt het ooit weer goed? Voor sommigen yes, voor anderen no way! En sommigen zijn misschien toch nog over te halen?
